The story behind PSYCHOTONES.
I dove deep into the darkest corners of drum-sound design and created 333 samples of pure madness.
190 loops and 143 one shots of inspiring psychedelic samples, a new world of chaotic pumping rhythms and hooking wild sounds.
The magic began at the recording phase. I used a 70's Ludwig kick with a very thin Reso head, cranked it and recorded the resonance so I could manipulate it in the post-production mix — same was applied to every other element in this pack.
I used a hand pan drum gated to the snare that was positioned a few meters from the kit, so every time I played it I got more harmonic metallic resonance, which I also manipulated with post-production processing.
Then I took all this crazy resonance content, handpicked it, and manipulated it in my DAW to create the most groovy and psychedelic sample pack I've made so far.
It is safe to say this is my most diverse pack so far.
